Hajj is an obligatory pilgrimage for Muslims that is performed annually from the 8th to 12th of Dhul Hijjah month. However, traveling for the holy rituals through hajj packages only remains an obligation for those Muslims who possess the financial and physical means for it.
In order for a Muslim to successfully perform the religious pilgrimages i.e., Umrah and Hajj, certain rules must be followed. Among the many rites, one of these rituals is to assume the state of Ihram and without it, it’s not permissible to perform Umrah or Hajj.
